Do you want to grow your own cannabis/hemp? Acquiring a license has gotten easier since federally legalization most states have a licensing program with there Dept. of Agriculture or you will be able to license with the USDA soon.   Interest continue to grow as new markets and uses for the plant grow right along with normalized cultivation. Hemp glossary
CBD originates from Hemp, "The Industrial Hemp Farming Act of 2014 allows  hemp-based CBD products in the USA. "The FDA has not yet approved CBD as a new drug. "No medical claims shall be stated or supported by independent clinical studies and have not been formally approved by any Drug  regulating agency". Products can contain up to “less than 0.3% THC”.

Why grow hemp ?

There are a number of reasons but on the agriculture side of it is to make a needed product in todays society. There are so many different products that are made from hemp so we decided to just concentrate on growing hemp well and that would be our first priority. We realize educating the public would have to go along with growing hemp so here's the best video I have found to explain a good reason to grow  http://www.msn.com/en-us/health/medical/your-brain-on-weed/vi-AAb0sX5

What is industrial hemp and how is it defined in the Farm Bill?

Industrial hemp is the non-psychoactive, low-THC, oilseed and fiber varieties of the plant Cannabis sativa. Hemp has absolutely no use as a recreational drug. Section 7606 of the Farm Bill defines industrial hemp as “the plant Cannabis sativa L. and any part of such plant, whether growing or not, with a delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol concentration of not more than 0.3 percent on a dry weight basis.”
