Spilled seed from hopper!Over seeded area here is going to be a jungle!

Week 1 (Canda) visitors field

6/28/15
Upon arriving at the field the first thing I noticed was grass, but as I entered the field I noticed the area above where we spilled seed getting the hopper set up! This is what visitors will see so this would be fine. I moved out into the field and notice spacing was better and that basically there were sprouts even in the grass which is good. The hemp will shade out the grass.

After I started looking around I found well spaced plants as tall as eleven inches in a week! Most of the field was sprouts but the field it self was turning green from the hemp and grass. Some of the hemp plants were like little bushes already. The hemp here will produce seed and I was shocked to find males showing in 14 days!

Yes, that is a male part but "Canda" the strain shown here is monoecious and can have both parts male and female parts.

New strain of seed has arrived!

I was notified my hemp seed order had passed through customs and that I could pick it up on Monday the 29th!

6/30/15
We had had the field ready for a week and just needed really to get seed in the ground asap. We are planting at such a late date and rain is coming for tomorrow!
